Each month I feature one of my favourite YouTube channels, sharing the little things I like about them and of course the video I like best. This month one of my favourite channels is Household Hacker.
Any household hack is a hack I want to hear about. If there is a way I can do something quicker or with less effort, I am all over it. This YouTube channel was created to solve common and everyday problems by create things and using items you find around the house. Household Hacker can give you cooking tips, garden hacks and ideas for your pets.
With summer just around the corner, now is a great time to pick up some new ideas. I’m keen to try the basting brush as well as the corn husk tip. The corn is growing strong in my garden & I hope to harvest it soon.
Have you ever wanted to know how to make pasta out of strawberries? Or perhaps you need to open a bottle but you don’t have a bottle opener on hand? Or maybe you need some last minute April Fool’s prank ideas.

Each month I feature one of my favourite YouTube channels, sharing the little things I like about them and of course the video I like best. This month is Gordon Ramsay.
I came across this channel by chance actually, as it was on the home page as a trending. I’m quite surprised to see that the channel is not just full of clips from his various TV shows. I think you may have been living under a rock if you have never seen a video or meme of Gordon Ramsay. There are videos of recipes, how-to, along with a few classic clips from his TV shows like Hotel Hell, Gordon Behind Bars etc.
This video really caught my eye because ‘beer-soaked bread’ sounds very interesting and easy to make. I will let you know if I ever do make it! The Ginger Beer Battered Fish also sounds delicious. I would never have thought to use different types of beer for beer batter. But it makes so much sense to me now!
Head to Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube channel for more videos, recipes, and of course laguhs!
Don’t forget to check out many other amazing Youtube channels featured in my YouTube Limelight section.
Each month I feature one of my favourite YouTube channels, sharing the little things I like about them and of course the video I like best. This month is Headspace.
About a month ago I discovered podcasts. I know, I’m really late jumping on that bandwagon! I have more than 60 podcast episodes I’ve downloaded have kept me really busy. I often listen to it while I’m driving to work or eating breakfast. Although the Headspace Podcasts have been taking a hiatus, I’ve really enjoyed listening to them and learning more about the mind. It’s interesting how the mind works and what we can do with our mind to make life better. The main focus of the channel is meditation and mindfulness, which I have been dabbling with since January.
The video below is a quick look at how you can use meditation to let go of stress.
Headspace provides guided meditation for everybody. The app will help you learn how to meditate, wherever you are, whenever you like. Their main mission is to improve the health and happiness of the world. Click here to see more of Headspace’s videos on YouTube.
Each month I feature one of my favourite YouTube channels, sharing the little things I like about them and of course the video I like best. This month is Jessica from The Mommy Archives.
I came across Jessica’s channel via Lydia Senn, who I featured on last months YouTube Limelight. I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe, or even a ‘uniform’. Think along the lines of Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and even Homer Simpson, they all seem to wear the same thing every day.
Maybe one day soon I will come back to this video to help me get started. I really do have so many clothes that I don’t wear. Every time I clear out my closet I keep things that I haven’t worn in a while. I do think I will wear it again soon. Although since I became pregnant, I started rotating out some of my summer or winter clothes, depending on the season.
Jessica has over 300 videos on various topics like pregnancy, chronic illness, groceries, decluttering/minimalism as well as some beauty videos.
SugarMamma also has some great videos on her YouTube channel about creating a capsule wardrobe.
You can see more of The Mommy Archives’ videos on her YouTube channel.
Each month I feature one of my favourite YouTube channels, sharing the little things I like about them and of course the video I like best. This month is Lydia Senn.
I can’t remember how I came across the Lydia Senn channel, but I am so glad I did. Her videos are about simple living, how to save money and getting out of debt. But there are also some videos themed around DIY, parenting, recipes, and working from home. The video below provides some great meal planning hacks.
This video is full of ideas, tips and trick to help you meal plan to save money. I love the suggestion of having a list of 10-20 meals that your family loves. I think it is such a great idea. I might just start on that list right this second! I’m sure I can come up with more than 20 meals that we like. If you think about it that’s almost three weeks of something different every single night!
You can see more of Lydia Senn’s videos on her YouTube channel. Lydia uploads brand new videos every Monday and Friday. Lydia’s blog is also a trasure trove of information if you are looking to get out of debt or live a little bit more frugally.
