The Parcel Summer 2014The Parcel Summer edition had quite a few more products than the last one.

I’m still using quite a few products from the Spring edition, so I had high hopes for this one! I was not let down, plenty of full size products and a wide variety of products from a variety of price points.

Hair

John Frieda – Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner and Blow Out Spray

The shampoo is clear. The conditioner feels light weight in my hands and was very easy to distribute through the ends of my hair. I’ve never used any type of heat protectant/styling spray before as I rarely blow dry my hair (once or twice a month). This didn’t leave my hair greasy or heavy like I thought it might but I also didn’t notice any difference to when I do blow dry it without any product.

Face

Elizabeth Arden – 8 Hour Cream

I was so excited to see this. I have heard a lot of famous people include it in their ‘must haves’ list. Sadly, this didn’t live up to my expectation. It’s more of a gel than a cream, it’s a peach colour (not that the colour maters!) and worst of all, it smells like tar shampoo. I had trouble spreading it over my face and it was quite sticky. I took it off immediately as I was about to jump into bed and didn’t want to stick to my pillow. It seems much easier to use on the back of my hand. All is not lost, I will give it a few more tries.

Revlon – Age Defying CC Cream

I haven’t ever used a CC cream but I have used one BB cream before. Compared to that, this is light weight and not greasy at all. I was unlucky that the colour is probably a little to dark for me at the moment but it wasn’t oily on my face (after setting with a powder).

Philosophy – Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleaner for Face & Eyes

I don’t use cleanser every day but I have been using this almost every day in the shower. It a lemon scented cream cleanser that is really nice to use. I’m not sure if I would go to the effort to purchase it but I am sure it will be first of the Summer products that I use up.

Estee Lauder – Advanced Night Repair Eye

I have been using this each night since I got it & believe it is working some magic. I’m quite surprised that I have managed to remember to use it each night for a start! I will see how I feel about it once it’s empty as it’s quite pricey.

Body

Jergens – Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser

If summer had a smell, this would be it! It’s like a mix of beach & sunscreen but in a moisturiser. I think this brand will replace what I am using at the moment once it runs out!

Essie – Nail Polish & All-In-One (base+topcoat+strengthen)

I am developing quite a collection of red nail polished! Lucky for me I often opt for the classic red. As it’s Christmas, I did my nails in green (from the August BellaBox) and red using the water marble method. When I applied the clear All-In-One as a top coat, it smudged the red! I’m sure you wouldn’t see it if the nail was just the one colour. The part that surprised me the most was it was the red the smudged, the red Essie nail polish that was also in the pack!
